I completely forgot that I was going to release these.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Unzip this archive to the "SteamApps\[USERNAME]\team fortress 2\tf\" directory and content should be placed automatically.

This is an original set of models created with XSI Mod Tool and Adobe Photoshop CS.


USAGE:

You are free to use this in any Team Fortress 2 map, including contest-related maps (if contest rules allow custom content).

This is a blatant thankspost, stuck to a tree with a huntsman arrow.

And as always, let me know ASAP if I screwed up packing these up or something.

The only bone i've got to pick with this is the tree trunk etxture. It could do with some dots of a darker color maybe.

To answer both of those comments, the trees were made to fit into cp_antiquity. They lack large canopies since the main areas they went into didn't have room for them. And there was a previous version of the trunk texture that had darker specks, but it looked really bad and too busy.

I'm half tempted to make a variant with a huge canopy, but I have a lot of other things I'm working on so I'll probably forget.

Well for what it is worth, if you end up doing something I think you should make just the canopy, then it can be placed on top of a clump of these, and if you want more than one you can re-clump them differently.

As you can see from the screenshots, it is recommended that you disable the self-shadowing on these props. At least, I think that's what's causing those blotches all over the bark.

Guys, need help.
Maybe because of last updates, but this models renders without textures. Any ideas about how it can be fixed?

That, I don't know. Maybe you would have to include the vpk with the map vpk download (and that's fine by me if you need to do that)?

wait, how do i install this? the instructions kinda confuse me, the models arent appearing in hammer, so i dont know what to do.

This is an old download, so it's set up kind of stupid unfortunately. You should unzip it somewhere outside the tf2 folder, then go inside the top level folder and copy the mapsrc, models, and materials folders to either tf/custom or tf/ depending on your preferences.

If you unzip it directly into /tf, you'll end up with an "earkham_banyan_trees" folder inside /tf and it won't work.

Also, these models are in need of updating pretty badly.
